How are Emiratis doing nowadays in the private sector?

Hi again everyone, so here we are with our first question “How are Emiratis doing nowadays in the private sector?” As an Emirati i would know that Emiratis aren’t doing so well in the private sector for many different reasons we will discuss later on. So in this part you will discover what is the situation of Emiratis in the private sector.

After a study was made by Dr. Ahmad Zain Al Mannawi, it seems to be that the Emirati employees working in the private sectors is less than 1%. As Dr. Ahmad says that Emiratis make only 0.3% in all private sectors actually that is a really shocking percentage although these private companies are in the UAE. According to Dr. Ahmad the most 2 main reasons of the dwindling number of Emiraties are low salaries and that private sector aren’t taking the Emiratization process seriously. In the following link is an article that explains more about this study.

Moreover, if you took a look at the private sector in the UAE ,even if these private sectors were owned by an Emirati person or non Emirati, you will find out that the number of Emirati working there is so low as mentioned above. To know more about the reason behind this low percentage, there is an article written by Fatima Salem a Gulf News reporter where it says that many Emirati prefer working in public or governmental sectors rather than the private sectors. As fatima interviewed some Emirati employees asking them what are the reasons that makes you preferring public on private? The most common answer was is that private sector might dismiss Emiratis without a notice unlike public sector where Emiratis feel much more secure on there future.
